Join us for an evening walk around the village of Yelden, in Bedfordshire but near Rushden. Please park considerately around the village and meet at the junction of High Street and Spring Lane, where there should be a bus shelter, ready to start walking promptly at 7.30pm.

The walk is circular and around 5 miles, making the most of the long evenings at this time of year. At the end of the walk there should be the opportunity to have a drink at a nearby pub, unfortunately there is no longer a pub in Yelden, the nearest being the Swan in nearby Newton Bromswold.

Everyone is welcome, whether you’re an established member of the group or haven’t walked with us before. New Members are welcome to join us. Note the walk is a mix of tracks and footpaths and may be muddy in places. Please wear appropriate clothing for walking in the country, and walking boots.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, though please note there may be stiles, livestock and other dogs on the walk. Any dog owners are fully responsible for their dog. More information is available on the Ramblers website https://www.ramblers.org.uk/advice/safety/dog-walkers.aspx.

Please be aware that all of our walk details are shared on the Ramblers walk finder, our Facebook page and in our Meetup group. You are welcome to join us on any of our walks you can either let us know you’re coming if it’s your first time by emailing us or by confirming your attendance on either Facebook or Meetup. We are part of, and funded by the Ramblers (Britain's walking charity) www.ramblers.org.uk, who are working to create a Britain where everyone has the freedom to enjoy the outdoors on foot. Our walks are free to attend but, once you have attended three of our walks we would ask you to consider joining the Ramblers as a member.
