Golden hour hike up Bray Head
Catch golden hour from the top of Bray Head with Let’s Get Social Dublin this Sunday.
We’ll start with a coffee to warm up, then head up Bray Head together. It’s about 30 to 45 minutes to the summit at a chatty pace, with a few steep bits. We’ll get to the top a little after 3:30pm and stay for golden hour, with views over the bay and the sun going down behind the Sugar Loaf. Then we walk back down together and finish at The Martello for food or a drink.
Who it’s for: adults in Dublin who want a relaxed walk and a chat. Lots of people come alone. Nobody gets left behind.
What to bring:

  • A packed lunch or snacks to eat at the top
  • A head torch or a phone with a charged torch. We come down around dusk.
  • Walking shoes or runners with good grip
  • A warm layer and a rain jacket. It gets cold at the top once the sun goes.
  • Water

Plan for the day:

  • 2:30pm: meet at The Boathouse Coffee in Bray
  • 3:00pm: start the hike
  • A little after 3:30pm: reach the summit and have snacks
  • About 3:50 to 4:40pm: golden hour at the top
  • After: The Martello, 47 Strand Road, for anyone who wants to stay on

Getting there: the DART to Bray is the easiest way. How to find me, I'lll be the tall guy with glasses lol

Accessibility: the path is steep and uneven, so it’s not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies. You’re welcome to skip the hike and join us at The Martello afterwards.

Weather: we’ll still go in light cloud. If the weather is bad, we’ll post an update here.
Can’t make it? Please update your RSVP so someone else can take your spot.
