The usual method of gaining entry to the live music events that I advertise on the Meetup group is to buy your ticket from Record Revivals or Wegottickets.com before the event. If you cannot attend, you lose your money! I have an arrangement with the organiser
for Meetup members to pay AT THE DOOR a slightly reduced amount of money. A certain amount of trust is required that the numbers of people who put their names on the list to attend actually do so.
'No-Shows' undermine that trust and endanger the scheme so please remove your name from the list if you are subsequently unable to attend preferably giving enough notice to enable the organiser to get another buyer for the ticket!
