The play revolves around David, a successful novelist with writer’s block who has kept some devastating news to himself. This news is related to Lucy, his housekeeper of twenty-eight years, who has her own secrets. When David invites Lucy to stay and have a drink after her shift, their secrets being to unravel as the night progresses, leading to a deeper exploration of their relationship and assumptions about each other.
