What we’re about
We'd love to have you join our group, but please read the entire description and be sure you want to be an active participant in this type of group before you sign up.
For Sonoma County women 50+ to enjoy social activities, make new friends, and have fun! Join others for events and activities and organize your own adventures. Connect with others who share your interests and enjoy new experiences.
Whether you enjoy gallery browsing, jazz concerts, kayaking, brunch, action films, visiting the DeYoung, or or going to a festival, you'll find others who want to join you.
As a condition of membership, each member agrees to be an active, contributing member of the group by organizing at least one event every six months and posting the event on our group page to ensure that
- activities include things YOU want to do,
- and we have a vibrant group with lots of activities to choose from.
All members, once accepted, have access to post events. Click the Discussions tab to find a post with more instructions about posting your events. If you have any problem, message Kendra, the group organizer.
Make sure you're set up to receive notifications: If you have the phone app set to receive notifications, you will not also receive notifications by email. Click your image at top right to check your Settings, then Email . If you want to receive notifications by email, turn off notifications in the phone app settings. Meetup groups have problems with members receiving messages - Check this web page every week to see if there are activities you didn't get notified about.
There is a $5 membership fee to cover Meetup costs. As a new member there is a 60 day grace period. Use this time to attend a few events and meet some of the group. This will help you decide if you want to stay in the group or not. If you want to stay please pay the dues before the 60 days is up. If you decide this is not the group you want to stay in please click the “leave group” button.
We require that all members live in Sonoma County. Please be sure your profile includes your picture. We do not allow promoting business ventures, classes, workshops, etc.
