Gokon are Japanese traditional drinking parties where men and women can meet, enjoy drinking alcohol, and get to know each other. The name comes from the Japanese words “godo” for “mixed” or “combination” and “konpa” which means an informal group meeting. It’s kind of like a group blind date, as the aim is generally to make friends and possibly form long-term relationships.

Typically men and women will sit across from each other and engage in friendly conversation, and sometimes we play games that are made up for this particular gathering and for the purpose of encouraging a convivial atmosphere so that we can get to know one another.

This kind of activity is a fixture in Japanese society. So, why wait experience it and come to understand more about Japanese culture.

Usually, a single guy and girl who know each other invite their friends to organize a Gokon party. However, if you are a foreigner, it’s pretty difficult to participate in such an event. So, this time we have gathered Japanese girls in advance. However, we’re also welcoming all ladies regardless of their nationality.( Japanese man as well)

Why not join us with your friends or by your self!

🔱How´s it different from a typical drinking party.

・We usually hold these gatherings at Luxury and which provide a sophisticated and interesting atmosphere as well as comfortable seating.

・We also try to have about the same number of men and women, though this doesn´t mean everyone is looking for a romantic relationship But sometimes it is just refreshing to speak with someone of the opposite gender.

In addition, we encourage people to change their seating through the event so as to meet as many people as possible.

You can speak both English and Japanese. Its all about communication whether it´s in Japanese, English or a mix of both.

Just come and have fun with us while you practice languages in a relaxed and sophisticated environment.

Go☆konとは

茶道と並び日本の伝統的な社交会として知られ、その起源は古く1970年頃であると言われています。

２つ以上の物が合わさって１つに成る事を表す「合同」そしてアメリカからの外来語コンパニーcompanyの「コン」が語源であると言われています。

今では、日本人が最も慣れ親しむ肩肘を張らないパーティーの形式として知られ、その中で産まれる何とも言えぬ連体感は、異性、同性を問わずに人と人とを繋げる効果がある事が米国「まさちゅーせっつ」の最近の研究で分かってきました。

そして僕達は、この素晴らしい日本式の社交会を世界に広めたいと考えています。いずれは「Go☆kon」が「Washlet」や「Bento」と同じく世界共通語となる事を願ってやみません。

異国情緒漂うお洒落なバーで大陸からの旅人達と酒を酌み交わす。ついでに英語もマスターしてしまう。そんな非日常体験を一緒にしませんか？違ったバックグラウンドを持つ多くの人々と交流を深める事は、きっとあなたの世界を広げてくれる事でしょう。
