WU LIAO JIAN / 五寮尖 - Very challenging and limited space hike

This is a very famous hike. It is VERY difficult. You will be climbing ropes, ladders and must be in good shape. If you are afraid of heights, this is not the hike for you. Please read the detailed information and carefully decide if you are capable of this hike.

Sturdy hiking shoes, gloves for ropes, water, snacks and other equipment is required. Please do not forget appropriate gear. Please refer to these two references in considering if you are capable of doing this climb!

I will drive from the Haishan MRT exit 2 on blue line at 8:00 morning so we can get started early. We will only fit 4 more in car, bringing total to 7. If you do not want to ride in a small car with strangers for and hour, maybe this is not the hike for you. If you have your own transport and would like to come, please coordinate with me to try and join.

If you get tired going up Elephant mountain and need to stop... this is probably not the hike for you.

Cancellation due to Emergencies etc. by 7:00 morning on that day. Rain would be most likely reason for cancellation.

We meet at Haishan MRT exit 2. This is on the blue line. We leave there at 8:00 morning to get to mountain on time.

1. Please bring plenty of water (at least 2-3L)
2. Gloves for ropes
3. Sturdy hiking shoes
4. Snack and lunch
5. Hat and long sleeve for sun
6. Mosquito repellent
