Granite Mountain Trail in Mount Baker Snoqualmie National Forest follows a steep route up with some light scrambling to the beautiful summit of Granite Mountain, where hikers will find a lookout cabin/ fire tower. Visitors will be treated to spectacular views Of the surrounding alpine lakes and peaks, including Mount Rainier on a clear day to the south. This trail travels through potential avalanche terrain, so research conditions before heading out during winter months. A Federal Northwest Forest Pass is required for this trail. A vault toilet is accessible at the trailhead parking lot.

This is a harder but not to hard of a hike note the elevation and plan accordinglv.

Are dogs or kids allowed on this hike?
Yes, both are welcome but please r note difficulty level and elevation. Dogs must be on leash.

How is parking?
There is a main lot for parking.
Is a Northwest Forest Pass required for parking? Yes or an America the beautiful card.

Is carpooling provided?
Carpooling is highly encouraged!. Reach out in comments if you can provide a ride or need a ride. I personally can take 4 people in my truck and will meet people at the north bend safeway. Please reach out to me in the comments or direct message me.

How long will this hike take? anticipate it will take 6-7 hours.

Is this a rain or shine event²?
If there is a great chance of rain, the event will be cancelled to ensure everyone's safety. I will watch the weather closely as the date gets closer and keep everyone updated.
