Details
THIS IS A ROAD RIDE
MEET AT BUFFALO CREEK BREWING (this is a map link!)
- ROLL @ 5:30 PM
- WEATHER PERMITTING
- 14 or 23 MILE ROAD RIDE
- 13 - 15 MPH AVERAGE PACE
- ADVANCED BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE RIDERS
- 35 MILE BLISTERING PACE DROP RIDE AVAILABLE
- FRONT & REAR LIGHTS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
- BRING A CHAIR FOR AFTER THE RIDE!
I'll be leading a 23 mile ride at a 13+ MPH AVERAGE pace and anyone is welcome to join me. Please be able to maintain a consistent 15-16 MPH ROLLING PACE.
There is also an overlapping 14 mile "beginner route" for those wanting an introduction to road riding. The 14 mile ride is a self lead ride.
Road, race, fitness and solid fork hybrid bikes are your best weapon of choice on this ride. We do not recommend any bikes which incorporate front, or rear, active suspension. Knobby tires are NOT your friend on this ride!

23 Mile Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Route:

A HELMET IS MANDATORY for all Let's Ride bicycle rides. Also required, a working and properly maintained bicycle that will allow you to travel the distance and pace you have elected to ride. If you need to have your bike looked over or prepped because it's been collecting dust all winter, please arrive early so you have time to get ready to ride.
As 'situational awareness' is critical to safe bicycling, EARBUDS, EARPHONES and LOUDSPEAKERS will NOT be ALLOWED on this ride.
You should also bring the normal accoutrement; (ID with Emergency Contact and insurance card(s), spare inner tube, pump, etc.), proper attire based on the weather forecast, water, sunscreen, sunglasses, money for food and/or beverage, a bicycle lock and a good attitude!
If you intend to stay after the ride, bring a lock and chain/cable, etc., to lock/secure your bike. Unattended bicycles are always a target for opportunistic thieves.
Feel free to contact me with any questions. Please make certain you have "email communication turned on" in your meetup account settings.
NOTE: All riders participate and ride at their own risk. Meetup.com, Let's Ride and/or its organizers are not responsible for your safety or well being.
