THIS IS A ROAD RIDE

MEET AT BUFFALO CREEK BREWING (this is a map link!)

  • ROLL @ 5:30 PM
  • WEATHER PERMITTING
  • 14 or 20 MILE ROAD RIDE
  • 12 - 14 MPH AVERAGE PACE
  • ADVANCED BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE RIDERS
  • FRONT & REAR LIGHTS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
  • BRING A CHAIR FOR AFTER THE RIDE!

This is an easy pace and distance early season ride and anyone is welcome to join me. Please be able to maintain a consistent 14+ MPH ROLLING PACE (equals 11-13 MPH average pace).

Road, race, fitness and solid fork hybrid bikes are your best weapon of choice on this ride. We do not recommend any bikes which incorporate front, or rear, active suspension. Knobby tires are NOT your friend on this ride!

A HELMET IS MANDATORY for all Let's Ride bicycle rides. Also required, a working and properly maintained bicycle that will allow you to travel the distance and pace you have elected to ride. If you need to have your bike looked over or prepped because it's been collecting dust all winter, please arrive early so you have time to get ready to ride.

As 'situational awareness' is critical to safe bicycling, EARBUDS, EARPHONES and LOUDSPEAKERS will NOT be ALLOWED on this ride.

You should also bring the normal accoutrement; (ID with Emergency Contact and insurance card(s), spare inner tube, pump, etc.), proper attire based on the weather forecast, water, sunscreen, sunglasses, money for food and/or beverage, a bicycle lock and a good attitude!

If you intend to stay after the ride, bring a lock and chain/cable, etc., to lock/secure your bike. Unattended bicycles are always a target for opportunistic thieves.

Feel free to contact me with any questions. Please make certain you have "email communication turned on" in your meetup account settings.

NOTE:

By attending (or RSVPing) to this event, you consent to the risks inherent in group cycling—including falls, collisions, road hazards, traffic, and weather—and agree to participate at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety, equipment, and decisions while riding. All riders must wear a helmet and obey all traffic laws. By participating, you release Let's Ride and its organizers and ride leaders from any liability arising from participation.
