LET'S TALK ABOUT GOD

Well Guys and Gals, now that I've left this initiative lie fallow for so long, It's about time to kickstart it!

Let's have an open discussion about God with any and all that care to show up.

The cozy little area overlooking the harbour at the Marriott Harbourfront is great early in the morning: there's usually no one there. It feels like your own living room.

I acknowledge the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of the Bible. He has told us a lot of "stuff" about Himself, us and our world. This meeting is one of a series in which we can explore this "stuff".

This is not to say that there are no other “gods” when we understand that this term means “spirit beings”. Let's explore the implications of that. I'd like to come away from our meetings with a clear understanding of what the God of the Bible says vs what other gods say so each of us as free, responsible people can make informed decisions on which god to believe or even if there is a God.

I'll bring up discussion starters to keep the meeting going like:

If the universe, nature or creation is like this; then what's God like?
Does God use "If ... then" statements?
How does God feel?
If God wants to do something on the earth and nobody agrees, does He do it anyway?
Did Jesus (Jeshua is His real name) do miracles because He was God or because he was a man filled with God? What are the implications for us guys and gals.
What's the difference between a contract and a covenant? Why does it matter?
What did Jesus know about Himself and when did He know it. Did He know stuff when He was one hour old? ... one day old? ... one month old? ... 6 years old? ... 12 years old? What are the implications for us?
Why is God a paradox? What is a paradox even?
Are there other gods out there. What is a "god" anyway?
Etc, etc. (2 hours will disappear pretty quickly!)
