About us

Moving abroad can be exciting — and quietly overwhelming.

Let’s Talk – Expat Support offers one-to-one conversations for expats navigating life in the Netherlands. Based in Rotterdam, this space is for anyone who needs a listening ear, a moment to reflect, or practical perspective from someone who understands expat life firsthand.

This is not therapy and not coaching — it’s a calm, informal conversation in a supportive and confidential setting.

People come to talk about things like:
• Integration and adjusting to life in the Netherlands
• Homesickness and identity shifts
• Dutch work culture, communication, and work-life balance
• Relationships, friendships, and loneliness abroad
• Relocation questions, settling-in steps, and immigration experiences

You don’t need to prepare anything. You’re welcome to talk, ask questions, or simply be heard.

This meetup is a one-to-one conversation with the host.

First meeting – online introduction
The first conversation will take place online and serves as a short introductory and screening call. This gives us both the chance to see whether this space feels like a good fit and whether the topic you’d like to discuss is something I can realistically help with.
If it feels like a match, we can then discuss meeting in person for future conversations.

If you’ve ever thought, “I just need to talk this through with someone who gets it,” you’re very welcome here.

A little about me...
I’m an expat myself—born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, with early childhood years spent in the Netherlands, and later experience living in Germany and the UK. I’ve now been living in the Netherlands for 8 years.

Alongside my personal expat journey, I have 4+ years of professional experience in relocation and global mobility, supporting international employees as they navigate life, work, and transitions abroad. I deeply understand both the emotional and practical sides of moving countries.
