Welcome to the Christmas Edition, this evenings loop walk will link up Western and Grey Lynn Parks, taking in the festive lights along Franklin Road, plus we will stop for ice cream 🍦 at Little 'Lato in Ponsonby.
Wearing a Santa hat and lights will bring the Christmas cheer 😊✨

A short, easy walk at a moderate pace.

Bring your good self along to explore an area that may be new to you, get some exercise and meet friends. Be prepared for whatever the weather throws at us, check the forecast at **www.metservice.com.**

If you have an interest in exercise, new places, local knowledge and lighthearted chitchat, then this walk is a great way to spend your Tuesday evening. Good training for a Great Walk or recovering runners.

Wear shoes suitable for walking quickly on concrete.

Fitness requirement for your enjoyment: Be able to keep a 13 min/km pace for 2 hours, with no assistance or rest.

🎄Event:
Let’s Walk – 2 hr urban walk, Ponsonby. Including extra time for ice cream

🎄Where:
Start meeting point, 54 Beresford St West. Next to the tennis courts. Meet & greet at 6:45pm, we start walking at 7:00pm. In fairness to those who arrive on time, I won't be waiting.

If you're late, we'll be walking up the left side of Western Park, over Ponsonby Rd and down Williamson Ave to Grey Lynn Park.

🎄Transport:
Carpool - organise amongst yourselves. Post where you can be picked up or where you are driving from in the event chat/comments. Negotiate with your driver for petrol payment

Plenty of bus options along Ponsonby Rd or Karangahape Road

🎄Parking:
Along Howe St outside the childcare centre & walk through past the tennis courts to the meeting point or limited parking along Beresford St W

🎄Bring:
A sense of adventure, good humour, water, snacks, money for ice cream, wear clothing and shoes suitable for outdoor summer exercise.

Please no guests, smoking, children, dogs or Bluetooth speakers. If the walk is full, don't ask me if you can join - watch the attendance list, a spot will become available.
