Panmure Basin Loop Walk

Hi Friends,

This evenings loop walk will be through the 'burbs of Panmure and a traverse of the new foot bridge. We'll circumnavigate the volcanic crater of panmure basin, taking in views across the basin and spotting native sea birds.

This walk is flat with good paths. This will be a moderate walk at a normal pace.

Bring your good self along to explore an area that may be new to you, get some exercise and meet friends. Be prepared for whatever the weather throws at us, check the forecast at Weather

If you have an interest in exercise, new places, local knowledge and lighthearted chitchat, then this walk is a great way to spend your Tuesday evening. Good training for a Great Walk or recovering runners.

Fitness requirement for your enjoyment: Be able to keep a 13 min/km pace for 2 hours, with no assistance or rest.

Let’s Walk - 2hr urban loop walk - Panmure

🌳Where:
Start meeting point, 14 Dunkirk Road, at the playground, near Armein Road. Not the activity centre! Meet & greet at 6:15pm, we start walking at 6:30pm. In fairness to those who arrive on time, I won't be waiting.

If you're late, we'll be walking along Dunkirk Road to Johnson Reserve to Tripoli Road.

🌳Transport:
Carpool - organise amongst yourselves. Post where you can be picked up or where you are driving from in the event comments. Negotiate with your driver for petrol payment

Train station: Panmure + 20min walk
Buses: 72X, 75+74, 751 or many options from Newmarket. 11 min walk from Panmure centre

🌳Parking:
Along Dunkirk Road
Toilets available throughout the wak

🌳Bring:
A sense of adventure, good humour, snacks, water, head torch, wear clothing suitable for outdoor summer exercise and shoes with good grip suitable for outdoor exercise.
