Recon the Lenape Trail in Verona/Cedar Grove 🥾 Let's Hike!!

This autumn, organizers from Let's Walk!!, the West Orange Hiking meetup group and the South Mountain Conservancy will be coordinating a series of walks along the entirety of the Essex County Lenape Trail.

In preparation, we will be inspecting portions of the trail to ensure we'll have a great experience and encounter no surprises during the main event.

This recon will start and end at the Cedar Grove Park Community Center. We will climb up to Hilltop Reservation and check the trail to Bloomfield Ave in Verona. Time and energy permitting, we can also inspect the segment between Cedar Grove Park and Mills Reservation.

These recon missions may be more difficult than our typical walks. Please wear protective clothing and bring water.
