Let's Get Disruptive: The Human Element of Automation

Details

Automation is inevitable.

Following the success of our first virtual round-table - Automation in a Post-COVID-19 Landscape - we're back with the next instalment of our Let's Get Disruptive series where this time we'll be tackling the human element of automation!

With constantly evolving processes and the increasing implementation of automation across our industry, it's more important now than ever to be able to deeply understand, effectively implement and willingly embrace it.

Key discussion points that will be explored during the session include

  • The human element of installing automation systems
  • Reskilling your existing workforce amidst the 'rise of the robots'
  • The future of flexibility

Perfect for Operations Directors, Engineering Directors and HR leaders across the Manufacturing and Engineering industries, Insight's very own Joe Lanigan-Smith will guide our panellists through an interactive afternoon of insightful conversation on Friday 18th September!

Oh, and we're passionate about encouraging involvement from everyone with a seat at our virtual table, so make sure you come prepared with questions!

Disrupting the line-up on September 18th is...

Lisa Sourbutts

  • MD of CUBE HR, Lisa was previously HR Manager at Chubb and has an impressive 15+ years experience working within HR.
  • Lisa's a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has a Masters in Human Resource Management; impressively she is also currently studying an MBA.
  • A lover of employment law but committed to making it easy for clients to understand due to her typical straight-talking northern lass roots, Lisa has worked in a multitude of business sectors and is confident that there are no questions the Let's Get Disruptive audience could throw at her that she hasn't dealt with before.

Russell Kinder

  • Current Business Unit Manager at ABB with nearly 20 years of industry experience.
  • Russell has held a breadth of positions throughout his career including managerial positions across Control Systems, Engineering, Operations and Growth!

Mike Wilson

  • Mike has over 35 years’ experience in robotics and automation gained across a broad range of manufacturing sectors throughout Europe, North America and Asia.
  • He is widely recognised as one of the leading authorities on the application of industrial robot systems in the UK.
  • He is also Chairman of the British Automation and Robot Association and has previously been Chairman of the International Federation of Robotics.
  • His book “Implementation of Robot Systems” was published in 2014.

We'll be adding further panellists to our disruptive line-up over the coming days so make sure you register your virtual attendance to receive regular updates.

We hope to see as many of you there as possible on Friday, September 18th, virtually of course!

Before then, if you have any burning questions or topic areas you'd like us to cover, do not hesitate to get in touch on j.lanigan-smith@insight-rec.com
