The trailhead we're taking is next to the church. If you search for Salt Lick Trail, it will take you to the wrong location. You will see signs that say "Salt Lick Trail", Ignore those and go to St John UCC Valmeyer, Il. The trail we're taking starts there.

Salt lick trail is a 5.8 mile hike in Valmeyer Il at Salt Lick Trail Loop. This hike has an enormous hill....well worth the climb, the views are great!

It's a little tricky to find the trail head. (There are two trail heads. We're meeting at the one in Valmeyer ) The trail is next to the St John UCC Valmeyer, 201 S Meyer Ave., Valmeyer, Il, at Empson. We park in the church parking lot. Just put the address in your navigation app and don't panic when you see signs that direct you the other trailhead. Just go to the Church parking lot.
