Meramec SP, Caves Trail

Meeting at Sheep’sCave/Wilderness trailhead. Hiking to sheep’s cave then across to Bluffview Trail continue counterclockwise along the Meramec River bluff. We will then hike up to the Meramec State Park store to connect with Deer Hollow Trail. Next we will hike the Walking Fern Trail Loop to Fisher Cave and Indian Cave, then back onto Deer Hollow Trail. From here we have to walk along 185 for quarter mile to connect back to the wilderness Trail. Which we will continue counterclockwise through the connector and back to the wilderness Trailhead and  parking lot.

NOTE: this hike is at a moderate to quick pace. Total 9 miles , which will include up to 1000 feet of elevation climbing. Not for a beginner Hiker.
