Meramec SP, Wilderness Trail

The 8.5-mile Wilderness Trail is located at Meramec State Park near Sullivan.

Here is a recent description from All-Trails:
"Terrain was definitely moderate, the scenery was gorgeous, and the trail was very easy to follow. There were a couple blowdowns and a little mud, but nothing difficult. The creek crossings were all doable by stepping on rocks (although you'll need either trekking poles or very good balance to avoid getting your feet wet). Also, I saw an albino deer for the first time in my life! Good trail, would recommend to anyone who likes hiking."
