Kayak at Forest Park on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Forest Park!

The weather forecast looks sunny and cooler with only a slight chance
of rain on Sunday. We will meet at 10:45 a.m. at the Boathouse where Big Muddy Adventures will rent us the canoes. The cost is only $15 an hour, including life jacket and paddle. You have your choice of sit-on top kayaks, stand up paddle board, paddle boat or canoe.

Whether you are a seasoned kayaker or a beginner, it is a great
place to go because you are surrounded by the beauty of Post Dispatch Lake and Fountains in the Emerson Basin
below Art Hill...it is a gorgeous view! The main Boathouse restaurant and parking lot are closed for renovations. The boat rentals and a popup beer and wine garden remain open from a temporary dock located just north of the construction. There is usually
plenty of on the street parking or you can always park in the lot across
from the Dennis & Judith Jones Visitor Center and walk over to the Boathouse. Please let me know if you have any questions.
