Al Foster Trail

Let's hike the Al Foster Trail.

Meet time 4:00 PM, hike at 4:05.
Meet at the trailhead sign in the parking lot on the left. The approximate location is pinned in RED on the map.

DISTANCE/PACE: Distance is about 5 miles, and we should complete it in about 2 hours. My pace is about 2.5-3 MPH

ROUTE OPTIONS: There are a multitude of possibilities, but we'll likely hike one of these.
Al Foster to Sherman's Beach and return is about 5 miles.
Al Foster to Rock Hollow Trailhead and return is about 6.2 miles.
Al Foster to Bluffview overlook and return is about 5 miles.

Trail:
The Al Foster trail is flat and crushed limestone, some dirt/rock sections. The Bluffview trail is dirt/rock and hilly.
The Rock Hollow trail is paved.

Bring: Plenty of water for yourself, good walking shoes or hiking shoes, BUG REPELLENT once the mosquitos start coming out, and maybe a snack.

Restrooms are in the parking lot.

Pets kept on short leads (no flexi-leads) are welcome.

THIS HIKE WILL BE CANCELED IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER.
