WE’RE IN PRE-PRODUCTION

Major motion pictures get funding through studios. Those studios also have a HUGE say in who gets a seat at the table. If you’re familiar with INDIE film making, then you’re aware that we utilize creative ways to fund our own projects and get our foot in the door. With INDIE films utilizing crowdfunding to fund your project can take a very long time. I created this group to utilize the power of our own numbers (everyone pay a little), to create our own projects & showcase our talent and finance our own dreams. We wait for no one. I’ve already invested my $1k. If we get picked up, of course we get paid. We’ll discuss this more in depth in the meeting next week. One thing I know for sure, is that we’ll have an amazing final product to showcase our talents and that alone will more than pay for itself in future endeavors.

Hello Let’s Make a Movie team! We’re starting pre-production for the first project in our group! We have an amazing, up & coming director, named Keishawn Blackstone who was just featured in Forbes magazine earlier this month, committed to our project. Keishawn has also been featured in Voyage LA, First Track Entertainment and other publications and platforms for his “person to watch” qualities as an up and coming director in the industry. With Keishawn comes his recent collaboration with execs at Viacom which owns Paramount Pictures, Showtime, MTV, BET, VH1 & Comedy Central just to name a few. Keishawn will also be casting a few known celebs in this project, so we’re in great hands!

We need executive producers, producers, light techs, sound, editors, actors, location scouts, wardrobe, PAs etc.

This is a family based TV series. We will be having a virtual meeting next week with the director to talk about the timeline for the project and answer any questions you may have. Day, time & link to the virtual meeting will be posted before Monday of next week.

This is an INDIE project and as most of you know, INDIE projects that get picked up (and there are several streaming platforms) is an EXCELLENT way to get your foot in the door in the industry!

***This is an INDIE project, so all projects we do must be funded. If you’d like to be included in the project, we’re asking that all participants contribute towards our project. We all have gifts & talents. Let’s put them to work so that we can showcase our talents and put them on display for the world to see. We have great distributing connections with the director we’ve chosen! We should be able to do this on a small budget if we all contribute our talent. I do foresee us needing to pay the director as well as editing in post production to ensure that our final product meets industry standards. We’ll discuss budget and what we can do collectively as a group.
If we work together, we’ll get it done! we can do it!
