🥳 The 35th edition of letSwift - iOs Developers Meetup is doubly special, as it marks the 10th anniversary of our Meetup!

We decided that this is the perfect moment to take another milestone step in its development.

This will be the first edition in the history of the event to be conducted in English.

Save the date!

TALK #1

Sebastian Osiński, Senior iOS Engineer at Goodnotes

Behind the scenes of Goodnotes’ new toolbar

We will be exploring the architecture behind GoodNotes’ new toolbar system - modular, configurable and with clean separation between business logic and presentation. We will start by shortly discussing our old toolbar with its shortcomings which convinced us to reimplement it from scratch for our latest major release. Then we will dive into new toolbar’s architecture and some problems we faced while implementing it.

TALK #2

Tymoteusz Pasieka, iOS developer at XTB and co-founder of Smart Kiddo

Native iOS in a World of Game Engines - Building a Children's App Without Unity

Most children's apps are built with Unity or cross-platform frameworks. Smart Kiddo — featured by Apple in 32 countries and nominated for Mobile Trends Awards — is built in pure UIKit + SwiftUI. I'll show why going fully native turned out to be our biggest technical advantage: from bridging UIKit and SwiftUI in a single codebase, through on-device speech recognition with Apple's Speech framework so children's voice never leaves the device, to a two-stage AI pipeline where the first stage corrects what a 4-year-old actually said and the second generates a child-safe educational answer — powered by Apple Intelligence on-device with OpenAI as fallback, and brought to life with ElevenLabs neural text-to-speech. Every technical decision filtered through one question: is this good for our daughters?
