Explore Your Unconscious Through Automatic Writing
What comes out when you stop editing yourself and let the words flow?
Automatic writing is a simple practice of writing freely, without planning, judging, or trying to make everything sound right. It can offer a fresh way to explore your thoughts, feelings, imagination, and recurring patterns.
In this course, you’ll learn how to quiet your inner critic and experiment with guided writing exercises. We’ll use prompts to explore emotions, ask ourselves meaningful questions, and see what emerges when we give ourselves permission to write uncensored.
You don’t need to be a writer or have any experience. Bring a notebook, a pen, and curiosity. Sharing is optional, and your writing can remain entirely private.
The aim isn’t to produce perfect prose or treat everything you write as a hidden truth. It’s to make space to listen to yourself, discover new perspectives, and connect with your creativity.
About Your Facilitator
I’m Dillon Freed. I have a master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and I teach college courses on the mind, brain, and behavior. I also spent three years doing a deep dive into the unconscious, exploring the thoughts, emotions, imagery, and patterns that emerge when we look beneath our everyday thinking.
This course brings that exploration into a practical, welcoming setting where you can experiment with automatic writing and discover what emerges for you.
