Let's Visit Hasselt

Come join LLB for a nice trip to Hasselt, the capital of Limburg (and where I was born). We will visit during the Jeneverfeesten, the extravagant city party. While the name makes it look like just drinking, there's way more to explore!

Schedule (subject to change)

• 09.45 we meet at the train station (in front of the main building, at Madmum)
• 10.07 our train leaves on Track 3 of Leuven Station.
• 11.00 We arrive in Hasselt, take a coffee and have a look at the activities.
• 12.00 We walk to the Japanese Garden and have a look around
• 14.00 We walk back to the Jenevermarkt and have lunch
• Free afternoon: we'll provide you with a list of options
• We have dinner, maybe some jenever, and take the train back to Leuven

Practical

• We leave at the 10.07 IC train towards Genk. According to the schedule, this one will arrive at Track 3. Buy your ticket in advance, look at Train+, it can save you money. If you need help with this, let us know in advance
• We don't ask any ticket price. The cost will be in train tickets, entry to the Japanese Garden, drinks/foods you buy...

• There's some walking on this day. Take comfortable shoes and maybe an umbrella/raincoat (according to the weather)
• Other things to take: a charged phone, powerbank, snacks, water(bottle), card/cash, ID (Belgian drinking age for strong drinks is 18) some train entertainment if you wanna zone out.
• In Belgium, credit cards are often not accepted. Take a Debit Card and/or cash.
