About us
A number of communities representing Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Palestine have formed a new anti-colonial alliance aimed at addressing common challenges and fostering regional stability. This alliance focuses on several key areas:
- Economic Cooperation: The alliance seeks to boost economic integration and development across the region. This includes collaborative projects in infrastructure, energy, and trade to combat the economic hardships exacerbated by conflicts and sanctions. For instance, a notable agreement involves supplying Jordanian electricity to Lebanon via Syria to mitigate Lebanon's severe power shortages
- Security and Stability: Addressing the security concerns arising from ongoing conflicts and displacement is a primary objective. The alliance aims to enhance security cooperation to manage border control, counter-terrorism efforts, and internal stability. This collaboration is critical given the protracted Syrian conflict and its spillover effects on neighbouring countries.
- Humanitarian and Refugee Support: The alliance places significant emphasis on the humanitarian crisis, particularly the plight of Syrian and Palestinian refugees. Coordinated efforts are being made to improve living conditions in refugee camps, provide essential services, and facilitate voluntary repatriation where possible.
- Political Collaboration: The alliance represents a concerted effort to navigate the complex political landscape of the Levant. It aims to present a unified front in diplomatic negotiations and engage with global powers to secure support for regional peace and development initiatives.
This strategic anti-colonial alliance signifies a proactive regional approach to addressing shared challenges, fostering resilience, and pursuing sustainable development in the Levant.
