Eastbourne station to Birling Gap circular - 10 miles

Our hike will begin at Eastbourne train station. Then onto the cliffs along the South Downs way, passing Birling Gap. Then we will return towards the seafront and finally back to Eastbourne train station. Be prepared! This hike is roughly 10 miles in total. We will meet at 10:00 at the entrance of Eastbourne train station and aim to return to Eastbourne train station by 16:00. While we converse in Spanish, we will be hiking on the Chalk Cliffs and enjoying the scenery of the Seven Sisters. By 12:30, we will stop for a lunch break at a local cafe and practise some new Spanish vocabulary. Make sure to wear appropriate clothing.

If it is raining, the hike will be postponed to the following weekend.

Hiking Essentials (what to bring)

1. Water bottle (1l+)
2. Hand sanitiser
3. Face mask
4. Hiking clothing (including appropriate, strong and sturdy hiking boots)
5. Sun cream (sunnies and hat if it’s a hot day)
6. Waterproof jacket and trousers (if it’s a rainy day)
7. Packed Lunch

£10.00 per person paid in advance upon booking for a hike guided by Adriana Blair (the price of the hike does not include transport, parking and lunch).

Cancellations

When you cancel a week or more in advance of a Hike, you receive a £10 credit towards a future Vamos! Spanish Hike event.
