Online Talk: The Dark Humour of Edward Gorey, Charles Dickens and Lewis Carroll

Kirara Akashi, Assistant in the English Language and Communication Department at Showa Women's University (Japan), explores the influence of Dickens and Carroll on the picture books of the 20th-century humorist Edward Gorey. This was the subject of Kirara's dissertation at Roehampton University. Brian Sibley, the President of the Lewis Carroll Society, will be the host for the meeting.
