June Spades

We will meet at my personal residence at 2305 Chapelwood Dr, Lewisville, TX, starting at 5:30pm. If you need to contact me before then with questions or you need to update your RSVP just before the event, you can text or call my cell phone at 214-498-8810. Giving us a heads up regarding last minute schedule changes helps us to know whether we can expect sets of 4 players or not. I have no problems with members using my personal cell phone number.

We’ll use the first 30 minutes for setting out food, eating, logistics, socializing, then play spades from 6pm to 10pm at a minimum, longer for spades addicts if desired. I am retired…so late nights will not bother me.

Food will be pot luck style where everyone brings a finger food or similar for the group to munch on before and during play. There are no expectations about type of food or quantity, but generally speaking there tends to be too much food. So don’t go overboard and do what is easiest for you. The point of the group is to have fun playing spades while meeting new people or catching up with existing friends without stress. So don’t stress out about food and don’t spend a lot of money.

Tables, chairs, cards, paper, pens, plates, utensils, cups, drinks (non alcoholic), napkins, music, frig and the entire kitchen are all provided. If you want to bring alcoholic drinks, feel free to do so.

We will also be playing with multiple random partners through the evening, switching partners once per hour. Details of those logistics will be shared once you arrive. For the first meetup we will wait to see how many players show up before deciding on whether we want to change partners every hour. We will make our first set of partners random and go from there.
