"dlr Maker Meetup member Raul Portales will share his projects on Android for Internet of Things:

"Raul will explain the basic concepts of Android Things (Android for IoT), explain how to setup the development environment for it and show how easy is to work with the different peripherals. For this, he'll use the most popular Dev Kit for Android Things: A Raspberry Pi with a Rainbow HAT (which has lots of sensors, input and output devices)." (He might also have some discounted or free copies of an eBook on the topic).

If you have an idea you'd like to present please get in touch, we're always looking for interesting and diverse ideas (it doesn't have to be super techy!). If you just want to come along to play with some technology that is also fine (we can look at making some interactive installations around the 3D printers in the event image).

Other than the presentations, as usual, if you have an idea and need some help figuring out where to get started or what creative technologies might help bring the idea to life. Maybe you just want to bounce your idea off someone else? Drop in to the Dun Laoghaire LexIcon Lab where Dr. Jake Rowan Byrne, other "makers" and members of the community will be there and keen to help out. We want you to help make the LexIcon Lab a place where the future's in the making.
