A Night of Data Pipelines and Dynamics

Welcome to our August 2026 meeting! We'll be featuring the session "From “What’s Synapse?” to Working Pipeline" and Garrett Dutton from KCTCS will be our presenter. Data in motion is a big part of our world these days, so this presentation is increasingly relevant.

Garrett's session abstract: In this presentation we'll cover the process KCTCS underwent to move Dynamics (Dataverse) tables to an "on-prem" Data Warehouse with SQL, Synapse Link, Synapse Workspace, and Pipelines. This will be as much about the architecting of a data movement solution, as the technical configuration. Answers to questions such as, why would you need this? What need does it meet? How do you plan for an implementation of Synapse? Where are you likely to incur the cost? Do I have enough coffee to understand what an DIU is? Come by for an architect's look at working with enterprise data and the mistakes learning opportunities along the way.
