Fingerlakes Waterfall Tour in New York State

I love waterfalls. If you love waterfalls too and don't mind hiking gorge trails to discover all falls large and small this may be the trip for you. Most of the gorge trails are in the neighborhood of one to three miles long, then we'll hike back the same way we came. Most of the falls chosen are large except for where there is a gorge trail. Then we'll find falls both large and small. The smallest is 40 feet while the largest is 215 feet tall. Planned falls are:

1. Letchworth state park with three huge waterfalls

2. Stoney Brook state park with a gorge trail

3. Watkins Glen state park with 19 waterfalls, tunnels and bridges which looks like something out of the Lord of the Rings. Largest waterfall is 60 ft.

4. Shequaga Falls: a 156 foot waterfall dropping in the middle of a town.

5. Eagle Cliffs Falls: Picturesque very popular 40 foot waterfall

6. Hector Falls: 165 foot multiple tier waterfall.

7. Robert H Treman state park: 115 ft Lucifer falls and 40 foot lower
beehive falls and a narrow gorge trail.

8. Buttermilk Falls: state park. Narrow gorge trail with multiple waterfalls

9. Ithica Falls: 150 foot Beehive waterfall in downtown Ithica

10. Carpente Falls: 90 foot waterfall drops into Bear Swamp Creek gorge.

11. Taughannock Falls state park: 215 foot waterfall which is taller than
Niagara Falls.

12. Filmore Glen state park: multiple waterfalls on a gorge trail.

13. Chittenango Falls: 167 foot limestone staircase waterfall.

If you sign up please make the commitment to go. I can only take 2 people with me. I'm driving. It's a 9 hour drive to our first destination.
On the first night we are staying at Microtel Inn Suites by Wyndham in Warsaw, NY. On nights 2 and 3 we are staying in Elmira, NY at the Country Inn and Suites by Radison. On the last night we are staying in Cazenovia NY at the Lincklaen House. We can share a room or you can get your own room. You'll buy your food. We'll probably eat at a restaurant every night for dinner. Ill bring a cooler for drinks and lunch. Ill bring sandwich meat and cheese, bread and condiments and drinks. Let me know what you drink. At every hotel, breakfast is included. On the way back is a 10 hour drive. I've been to Letchworth, Robert B Treman state park and Ithica Nature area. These waterfalls by themselves to me are worth the drive to New York.
