Looking for a unique and hands-on date night in Lexington, Kentucky? Join us at Lexington Makerspace for a fun and creative Pen Turning Class, where couples can explore the art of woodturning and leave with a beautiful, functional keepsake.
In this beginner-friendly woodworking class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of wood turning on a lathe, including tool safety, shaping techniques, and finishing techniques used by artisans. Each participant will create a custom handcrafted pen made from rare and exotic wood, making every piece truly one of a kind.
No prior woodworking experience is required—just bring your curiosity and enjoy a relaxed, creative atmosphere designed for couples, creatives, and members of the local art community.
