About us

A brand-new monthly blues jam for musicians in East London.

We’re starting from scratch and looking to build a friendly, regular community of musicians who want to play more blues, improvise with other people and get better at playing together.

Sessions will be held on the second Tuesday of each month. 7-9pm in a rehearsal space near Leyton Midland Road Overground station.

You don’t have to commit to coming every month. The idea is to build a pool of regular players so that there’s always a good bunch of musicians to play with.

🎵 What we’ll play
Chicago blues, Texas blues, blues-rock, soul blues and jazz-blues — from classic 12-bar standards to more contemporary material.
We’ll publish a short setlist before each session so you know what we’ll be playing.
We’re particularly interested in:

Piano/keys · Guitar · Bass · Sax Drums · Vocals · Harmonica

All abilities welcome, provided you can play basic blues forms and follow a 12-bar progression.
No auditions. No 20-minute solos. Just play and have fun.

🥁 And if we don’t have a drummer?
That’s fine. We’re building the group from scratch, so initially we may use backing tracks or drum loops when we need to.

The aim is to gradually build a regular group of players who can form a proper rhythm section.
