Synopsis : Blue Jean presents the struggles of a woman trying to blend into a heteronormative world in 1980s Britain, at a time when homosexuals were politically vilified and othered.
Through gestures, glances, and silences, the film traces how public hostility seeps into private life, shaping the body, the classroom, and desire itself. It explores the cost of silence and the risks of visibility, asking what it means to hold onto integrity when simply being seen carries consequences.
