Lez East Coast Swing to Live Music!

Lez Dance East Coast Swing at the Rusty’s Rhythm Club’s “Red, White, and Swing” The dance features a live swing band, “The Fabulous Esquires Big Band. They'll be sure to treat you to a show packed with all of the best swing dance tunes. No partner is required. Beginners welcome.
Admission: $20 in Advance. $25 at the door. Admission covers free beginner dance class!
Venue: The Dance is at The Elks Lodge in Playa Del Rey. There’s a bar and lounge and a water fountain.

Schedule:
7:30 PM The doors open. Come to the lounge to find me and fellow Lez Hang Out members. I will grab a table and put some flowers on it in the lounge so we know where to meet. I’ll also wear my red shirt with blue pants and a white jeans jacket until the dancing starts so I’m easy to spot. We’ll meet and greet between 7:30 & 8.
8:00 PM Free beginner’s dance class!
8:30 PM Dance begins. We’ll know each other so we can dance together, but feel free to dance with other attendees. The dance goes on till midnight.
Attire - Dress comfortably so you can move. Some people dress casually; others like to wear vintage swing-era clothes. Rusty's likes to have theme dances -this one is red, white, and blue. Best shoes are lightweight - no heavy-tread - thin and fitted, flat or low and wide heels. Shoes stay on your foot when you spin. Leather-soled shoes work well for spinning. You can also get dance socks to wear over athletic shoes.
