6:15 - Welcome remarks by Keith Berry, Executive Director of Emerging Businesses at Moody's Analytics.

Keith Berry is responsible for Moody’s Analytics Emerging Business Unit, based in New York. The Emerging Business Unit aims to identify, research and develop new business opportunities for Moody’s Analytics that are enabled by technology innovation.

Prior to this role, Keith held several key positions in MA in both the technology and product areas. Prior to joining Moody’s, Keith worked as a software engineer and software architect for Barclays Global Investors (now part of BlackRock) for ten years. Keith holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Durham University in the UK.

Oleg Abdrashitov heads the Blockchain Practice at Altoros and the Requirements Working Group at Hyperledger.

Oleg's career spans 19 years in software development for the financial services companies. He has built systems supporting high frequency trading, middle office and online exchanges.

Oleg has worked at top investment banks, hedge funds and has founded startups and consultancies. He is currently engaged by clients in finance and insurance to train engineers and architect solutions on blockchain.

Bruce Weed, Program Director, Startups & Developers (Watson/AI, IoT, Blockchain, Big Data, Cloud) at IBM

Bruce Weed is the IBM global program director of Watson and big data ecosystem development, and is part of the IBM Software Group. Bruce has extensive experience in business development, sales and marketing.

His additional skills and experience lie in product and brand management, operational strategy, IT strategy and software development. He is also a big data evangelist who keynotes at major conferences around the world.

• using Iroha, C++ based permissioned ledger (which has been accepted as a Hyperledger project)

• using digital identity service built on top of Iroha

• working with Iroha to develop new services or solutions

Speaker:

Makoto Tokemiya, Co-CEO at Soramitsu

Makoto Takemiya is Co-CEO of Soramitsu, a Japanese fintech startup and developer of Iroha, a Hyperledger subproject. Makoto is current PhD student of applied computer science at the University of Tokyo.

Makoto will speak about Iroha, the initiative that has been recently accepted into incubation status under Hyperledger. Iroha was inspired by the Fabric architecture and aims to provide a development environment where C++, web, and mobile application developers can contribute to the Hyperledger Project.

• Usha Krishnan, Founder at ChainGenie.com, Blockchain Consultant at Sensei consultancy

Usha Krishnan has over 20 years of experience working in organizations that range in size and complexity from medium size businesses to a Fortune 10 corporation, in sectors that include information technology, heavy machinery, and insurance.

She helps organizations understand how, why and where blockchain solutions should be deployed. And more importantly, how can an organization exploit the blockchain and other emerging technologies to drive up competitive advantage.

• William Mark Painter, CFA, FRM, MBA

Mark is the founder of Consensus Evolution, experimenting with Blockchain concepts in financial markets and developing a set of presentation and learning tools to assit people of all levels with their understanding and engagement with this quickly evolving technology.

Mark is also Market Risk Manager at RBS Markets and International Banking. He has also worked at ING and JPMorgan Chase.

Mark holds an MBA (Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Strategy and Corporate Finance) from New York University - Leonard N. Stern School of Business, and a Master of Science (Economics) from the University of Nottingham.

• Charles Meier, Senior Business Manager, Global Banking and Payments Industry

Charles is Senior Business Manager in Global Financial Services with focus on FinTech, Emerging Payments and Blockchain product development. He has broad experience in Strategy & Business Development, Process improvement, Finance and Program Management. Mark has worked as Global Retail Payments - Business Development Director at Citi, led effort with Citi TechLab to develop a cross-border funds transfer POC using Ethereum distributed Blockchain technology.

Charles holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a Certified Bitcoin Professional (CBP) accreditation.
