Details
Join us for an in-person meetup in Lisbon (venue to be announced soon) featuring several community members sharing updates about what is happening the LF Decentralized Trust. The meetup will include time for network in addition to presentations
Agenda
- 6:30pm - 7pm: Networking
- 7pm - 7:30pm Daniela Barbosa, Executive Director of LFDT: Discover the latest developments from LF Decentralized Trust, the Linux Foundation's initiative driving innovation in decentralized identity, blockchain, and Web3. This session will provide an overview of the foundation's mission, ongoing projects, and recent milestones, including new initiatives, technical advancements, and community achievements. Join us to learn how LF Decentralized Trust fosters collaboration, open governance, and interoperability in the decentralized ecosystem. Whether you're a member or exploring involvementin our open community, this update will highlight opportunities to engage and contribute to shaping the future of trust technologies.
- 7:30pm - 8:00pm Hyperledger Indy on Besu as a Permissioned Ledger for EUDI Wallets: Alexander Schcerbakov, Project Maintainer and Manager of Decentralized Systems at DSR Corporation: In this session, the speakers will explore Hyperledger Indy on Besu, an Ethereum-powered Public Permissioned Blockchain designed for Self-Sovereign Identity. The Indy on Besu framework offers an alternative to the existing Hyperledger Indy ecosystem, with enhanced support for verifiable credentials and the latest SSI standards which can be compliant with eIDAS2/EUDI regulations. With its advanced security measures and features inherited from the Besu project, Hyperledger Indy on Besu has the potential to transform the Self-Sovereign Identity market and pave the way for a more secure and decentralized digital identity solution. We will cover the architecture of Indy on Besu, detailing how it addresses challenges within Indy and its impact on node operations. The session will also include a live demonstration, demonstrating practical applications of Indy on Besu for issuing and verifying SSI verifiable credentials of Anoncreds and SD-JWT formats. More about Indy on Besu is at: https://github.com/hyperledger/indy-besu
- 8:00- 8:15pm Break
- 8:15pm - 9:00pm Overview of Aca-Py: Hedera plugin: Paulo Caldas, Software Engineer, DSR Corporation: Just a few months ago, ACA-Py was solely an Indy-oriented decentralized identity framework, meaning that only Hyperledger Indy could be used as a verifiable data registry to store DID documents, verifiable credential schemas, issuer public keys, and revocation registries. However, it is now possible to use the Hedera ledger instead of Indy for AnonCreds issuance in ACA-Py. We will showcase this capability with an overview demonstration.
