About us
LFDT Meetup groups have an informal relationship with LF Decentralized Trust and make up a key part of the LFDT ecosystem. Participation in a LFDT Meetup group is open to anyone--employees of a LFDT member company, LFDT contributors and developers, and people just passionate about distributed trust technology.

What PDPP unlocks: a 30-minute live demo, from Slack to ChatGPT
·OnlineOnline210 attendees from 149 groupsWhat PDPP unlocks: a 30-minute live demo, from Slack to ChatGPT
What if you could choose exactly what an app sees of your data? Tim Nunamaker, editor of the PDPP specification, shows a Slack-to-ChatGPT example side by side: today's plugin versus a PDPP server, where you pick the fields, hide names and phone numbers, set an expiry and check that the app is verified.
Tim is joined by Kahtaf Alam to talk about what PDPP could unlock for governments and consumer products, with time for your questions.
PDPP v0.1.0 locked on 26 October. For engineers, product and policy people, and anyone curious about what personal data portability is for.
Recorded, so sign up even if you can't join live.

Measuring Ledgers With The Blockchain Decentralisation Index Lab
·OnlineOnline90 attendees from 150 groupsThe new Blockchain Decentralisation Index Lab is an open source tool kit for measuring the decentralisation of distributed ledgers, layer by layer — consensus, tokenomics, network, software, and beyond.
The lab develops and maintains a suite of open source tools that collect data from live blockchain systems, parse it into a common format, and compute decentralisation metrics over it. Each tool targets a distinct layer of the stack and shares a common pipeline architecture (collect → parse → map to entities → apply metrics → publish).
Learn more about the Lab, how to use it and how to get involved in this online event. You can also find out more about the Lab at: https://github.com/Blockchain-Decentralisation-Index

Building Privacy Preserving Token Applications Using Panurus
·OnlineOnline55 attendees from 149 groupsPanurus (https://github.com/LFDT-Panurus) is an open-source framework for building token-based applications that preserve transactional privacy while remaining fully auditable and interoperable across ledgers. In this talk, we'll walk through how Panurus's driver-based architecture lets developers plug in different token technologies — from Fabtoken to zero-knowledge schemes — behind a common transaction lifecycle (Request → Assemble → Sign → Commit), and how this enables privacy-preserving applications without locking you into a single blockchain or cryptographic scheme.
We'll also spotlight two mentorship programs currently pushing Panurus's capabilities forward:
- EVM Network Driver — extending Panurus with support for EVM-compatible chains, bringing privacy-preserving tokens to Ethereum and its ecosystem.
- zkat-snark Driver — introducing a zk-SNARK-based anonymous token driver, expanding Panurus's toolkit for confidential, provably-correct transactions.Come see how these efforts are shaping Panurus's roadmap, and how you can get involved.
