L Community’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Collective
A women-only network for lesbians and bisexual women – online, offline, or both.
We run relaxed events across London and through our private app. Some women come for friendship. Some for dating. Some just to feel seen. Most come alone. Most leave connected.
This space is for biological females only. That boundary is clear, and our hosts uphold it. If that’s a problem, this isn’t your group.
Women in their 20s to 70s regularly attend. The atmosphere is calm, grounded, and respectful – no pressure, no performance.
This is just one of L Community’s six Meetup accounts in our network. Attendance numbers shown here reflect only this group – actual attendance will be higher as the event is advertised across all six accounts.
Why It Exists
This isn’t a side project. It’s infrastructure.
L Community is building the first dual system of:
– 100% female-run and member-built.
– a women-only app (live now)
– A CIC fighting to open the first female-only lesbian venue in London, after Southwark Council blocked our lawful application and gave the space to others. We’re not backing down.
We run this without institutional funding. That means every banner, every platform feature, every reply to a DM is paid for by women not brands, not donors, not anyone else.
We suggest:
£7 per in-person event
£3.50 per digital event
This helps cover staffing, hosting, app bugs, moderation, legal costs, and operations.

A weekly Zoom mingle for lesbians and bisexual women across the UK and abroad.
Women usually come from their 20s through to their 60s. It is typically a mix of new and returning faces. Most people join on their own. You will not feel like you have walked into something established or cliquey.
You can have your camera on or off. You can talk, listen, or just ease in. There is no pressure to perform or share anything personal.
If you are unsure, that is completely normal. Many women come once just to see what it is like and then keep coming back.

Female-only Lesbian Meet & Mingle
The Phoenix, 37 Cavendish Square, Greater, London, GBA relaxed weekly night for drinks, conversation, and meeting other women in real life.
Women usually come from their 20s through to their 60s. About half are brand new most weeks and half are returning, so you will not be the only new person. Most women come on their own. It does not feel awkward or cliquey.
There is no pressure to drink, talk the whole time, or impress anyone. You can arrive quietly, sit back, chat a bit, or leave early. That is all normal here.
If you are nervous, you are not alone. Many women feel that way before their first event and end up staying longer than they expected.

Lesbian Book Club (Women Only)

A chilled Sunday afternoon for chatting about books, meeting new women, and settling into an easy space. You do not need to have finished the book. Some bring a copy, some don’t. It is relaxed, low-pressure, and you can just come for the company.
Women usually range from their 20s to their 60s. Half are brand new most weeks. Most come solo. We make sure you will not feel it. It is friendly and welcoming.

Support the Case
We are building the UK’s first female-only lesbian venue. Southwark Council blocked our lawful application. We are now taking them to court in a landmark Equality Act test case. What happens here will decide whether councils across the UK can keep excluding women-only services.
