Stop Me if You've Heard this One

Details
In June we'll change things up with Stop Me If You've Heard This One, a satiric novel by Kristen Arnett. The story follows a woman grappling with love and grief while chasing her true passion: clowning. Set in Central Florida, novice clown Cherry Hendricks seeks her big professional break while also pursuing clown mentor/crush, Margot the Magnificant. Arnett's book is equal parts bravado, tenderness, and humor, and bursts with misfits, magicians, musicians, and mimes. Throughout the story clowns are framed as a way to explore queer identify and gender expression. Stop Me If You've Heard This One was published in March 2025, is 272 pages long and is available in local libraries and online. Join us in June for this absurd and heartfelt tale!
