REGULAR, SECOND SATURDAY OF THE MONTH BOOK (fiction, including short stories) BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP.

NB THIS IS OUR FIRST MEET AT OUR NEW VENUE

WE WILL REMAIN EVERY SECOND SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH(at 12-2); but from June we are at THE FRIENDS' MEETING HOUSE(QUAKERS),22 School Lane,off Hanover St,Liverpool L1 3BT another central Liverpool location, fully accessible. So stay with us on your journey of 12 years(and still going...)

WE MEET AT 12 OR JUST BEFORE, in the FOYER of the Friends Meeting House(entrance School Lane). See below for more details

COST
£5 per person. This is purely to cover room rental and the organiser's Meet Up subscription costs; no profit is made; we are unfunded.

Please pay -at the start of event- to Steve, preferably in cash; but he can give his bank details(again, pay at the start of the event)

This is a SAFER-SPACE group for LGBTQ(18+) people only.

We read fiction(including short stories); and take turns to choose a book. If you attend twice, you get to choose a book!

THIS MONTH: it is "SEVEN HUSBANDS OF EVELYN HUGO"; A Romance.......Taylor Jenkins Read's torrid tale tells of an ambitious Hollywood star, who not only has seven husbands, but a secret lesbian love.......
ALSO, we usually have a THEME related to the book (after our break):

this month: FILMS, with successful representation of LGBTQ CHARACTERS; perhaps with an lgbtq character you have found inspiring/interesting in some way

AND a short section on attendees' RECOMMENDED RECENT READING

an LGBTQ NOTICEBOARD (not necessarily book-related) of forthcoming LGBTQ events:)

VENUE

PLEASE MEET IN FOYER OF FRIENDS MEETING HOUSE, accessible from School Lane.

PLEASE ARRIVE BETWEEN 11.45 AND 12. THE HOSTS WILL BE IN THE FOYER TO GREET YOU:)

We have a booked room, but this may change from meet to meet/on the day(they have about 10 meet rooms); so the hosts will guide you to our room of the day.

If you arrive after 12, ask their Receptionist what room we are in, and knock on the door!

FACILITIES

There is no cafe; but we can use one of their kitchens(there is one on each floor, some rooms have one attached!)

Please bring own food(not needing heating); coffee/tea/milk(cows only) and sugar provided by our regulars:) Venue kitchen has crockery cups cutlery. You can bring take -out drinks and food. If you want NON-cows milk, please bring your own(there is a fridge)
