We take turns to choose a book. If you attend twice, you get

THIS MONTH
PART ONE:
We are discussing a recent book by the iconic gay male author, Edmund White, who died on 3rd June.
Typically baggy, playful, and meta, it recounts a man and wife couple regaling each other with their confessions(one of which is the man having a relationship with "the author Edmund White"); it is also White's take on ageing.
SHORT BREAK
PART TWO:
We have a debate around the theme of (lgbt people and )ageing, as expressed in fiction: "Picture of Dorian Gray" would be a classic example; but have a think of your own choice for this bit:AND/OR
We mention ANY fiction books we have recently read and would recommend.
AND/OR choose another wide-ranging discussion subject suggested by the book.

We are at THE FRIENDS' MEETING HOUSE(QUAKERS),22 School Lane,off Hanover St,Liverpool L1 3BT; ENTRANCE: 22 School Lane ; central Liverpool location.
WE MEET 11.45-12 , in the FOYER of the Friends Meeting House(entrance School Lane).

PLEASE MEET IN FOYER OF FRIENDS MEETING HOUSE, accessible from 22 School Lane.
PLEASE ARRIVE BETWEEN 11.45 AND 12. STEVE(Organiser)WILL BE IN THE FOYER TO GREET YOU:)
We have a booked room, but this may change from meet to meet/on the day(they have about 10 meet rooms); so Steve-on the door -will guide you to our room of the day.
If you arrive after 12, please ask their Receptionist what room we are in, and knock on the door!

COST:
£5 per person.
This is purely to cover room rental and the Organiser's Meet Up subscription costs; no profit is made; we are unfunded.
Please pay -at the start of event- to Steve (Organiser/Host), preferably in cash; but he can give his bank details(again, pay at the start of the event)

FACILITIES:
There is no cafe; but we can use one of their kitchens(there is one on each floor, some rooms have one attached!)
Please bring own food(not needing heating); coffee/tea/milk(cows only) and sugar provided by our regulars:)
Venue kitchen has crockery cups cutlery.
And/or : You can bring take -out drinks and food(not requiring heating/reheating)
If you want NON-cows milk, please bring your own(there is a fridge)
