OUR REGULAR FOURTH SATURDAY OF THE MONTH WRITING GROUP
*NB THE CONTENT OF THIS MEETING IS LIKELY, BY THE NATURE OF THE TOPICS, to be dark: ie possibly distressing to some people
THEREFORE, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THIS*
We DO have a procedure for content and trigger warnings{SEE LATER IN THIS POST}; but this cannot be fail-safe, as some material is triggering to some and not to others.
## A MERSEYSIDE LGBTQ(18+)SAFER-SPACE LGBTQ (18+) Group: for writers at ANY stage/any genre: beginners to advanced.
*THIS GROUP IS TRANS-AFFIRMATIVE. ANY GENDER-CRITICAL VIEWS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.*
*LGBTQ(18+) writers ONLY.*.
PLEASE NOTE: it can be a bit nerve-wracking to attend a group for the first time; but we are very friendly:)
*The group is suitable/welcoming to LGBTQ(18+) people who have just come out/just arrived in the area(as well as regular attenders!)*

THIS MONTH:
OUR FACILITATOR IS GARNETT("Ratte") Frost.
Inspired by halloween, we will explore the darker/ alternative side of the rainbow. (Not necessarily horror)
- PRE-WRITE(OPTIONAL):
Please write something(ANY genre) from a DARKER/alternative PERSPECTIVE! ( to read out-if you want - a maximum of THREE MINUTES).
Examples of pre-write material: a one-sided love story between Dracula and Jonathan Harker, where the human is the one pursuing Dracula (who's maybe ACE?{asexual}) or:
A fairy tale princess story where they are actually Drag Queens and gothic divas;
Or:
a play on the Addams family were it's discovered Gomez and Morticia are part of a thruple?
Or, if narrative is not your thing, something Lgbtq-related, which is dark(er)-themed! (In ANY genre)
[BUT NB CONTENT/TRIGGER WARNINGS will be in place on the day, so please be aware of them; the procedure/topics included are BELOW]

NB If you arrive after 1 pm , ask their Receptionist what room we are in, and knock on the door!

YOU can also request the kind of feedback(or NO feedback) you want!
PLEASE REMEMBER ALL CRITIQUE/FEEDBACK IS SUBJECTIVE; and that writing is a very subjective and personal thing.

PLEASE NOTE: ThIs month's subject matter is dark; so our procedure(if you have decidedc to attend) IS AS FOLLOWS:
If there is ANY /more than one/ALL the above topics (in your pre-written, or in the writing done in the session), just tell the group a brief idea of what the material is,before you start to read it, and anyone who is uncomfortable with the content can choose to leave the room, accompanied by a host, for support.
*However, as I said at the start of this event description, if you are concerned re the content, and/or you do not wish to follow this procedure on the day,please do not ATTEND*

FACILITIES
We can use one of the venue's kitchens(there is one on each floor;some rooms have one attached!)
Coffee(instant)/tea/milk(cows only) and sugar is also provided by our regulars:)
Venue kitchen has crockery cups cutlery.
U can bring take -out drinks and food.
If you want NON-cows milk, please bring ur own(there is a fridge)

THE VENUE IS COMPLETELY WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE: lift 2 all floors, room for wheelchairs in all rooms
