What we’re about
The LGBT EZ Riders Cyclists is a group of like minded cyclists who enjoy meeting new friends to ride the Metro Parks trails. Emerald Necklace, Towpath, Black River and any other trail members would like to explore. We encourage building a comrodary among members who are interested in a healthy lifestyle of cycling during the warm weather and working out at local gyms during the colder weather.
All rides will be done at a leisurely pace of 8-10 mph. We are not looking to set any speed records, rather enjoy the company of others while we enjoy the ride. Riders should be able to ride a minimum of 10 miles. Weekday evening rides will be 8-10 miles and weekend afternoon rides will 15-30 miles. After all rides we will gather at a local restaurant for a much deserved meal.
The group is open to novice, intermediate and advanced riders. All rides will include all necessary breaks at any of the park benches and tables. Novice riders are encouraged to take breaks. Along with novice, we encourge all age groups.
Please bring your water bottles and healthy snacks in order to maintain your energy level and build stamina. And please be willing to share with anyone who forgot to bring something for themself.
Please refrain from offensive language/topics of discussion and be respectful of others.
We will have a strict NO-SHOW POLICY. The first no-show will be forgiven. The second time, you will be removed from the group. We will not tolerate waiting for others who aren't going to show. And of course, if someone is running late, please let the group host know so we can wait for you.
