Season closing: Heizhaus Strasshof

Join us for the season closing day of "Heizhaus Strasshof", a museum of old steam engines, locomotoves and other railway equipment.
Enjoy with us a ride on one of the old steam engines.

What to expect:
Before the vehicles go into hibernation for the winter, we're going to let them steam away one last time.
On Sunday, the steam locomotive 310.23 will be running on the grounds to mark the end of the season!
The garden railway will also be running. The LGB, H0 and Lastern will also be in action.
Our N-Wagon is ready and waiting for you! Whether you love detailed miniature worlds, sophisticated technology or nostalgic flair, our N-gauge layout will delight railway enthusiasts of all ages.
The buffet and souvenir carriages will be open.
Get an overview of the history of the railway, the vehicle collection and the progress of the restoration work.

Driving simulator:
For the steam train, there will be a MEV driving simulator in the museum and interested visitors have the opportunity to try their hand at being a train driver under the guidance of an instructor. Furthermore, the job profile of a train driver is explained and their career opportunities and training options are explained in detail.

For guests arriving from Vienna by public transport we du suggest the following schedule / meeting in the first carriage of the train:

10:27 Silberwald Bahnstation (a short walk to the museum)

Join us 10:40 at the Heizhaus Strasshof, main entrance

Return to Vienna:
S1 departing every 30 minutes from Silberwald (XX:20, XX:50)
We do suggest the 13:20 train in order to reach the other MeetUp planned for the same day at QueerMuseum in Vienna, which starts 15:00.
Guests not planning to attend "Free coffee and cake and guided tour" at Queer Museum Vienna can stay until the Heizhaus closes at 17:00
