Trans Day of Remembrance
Details
LGBT+ Humanists is observing Trans Day of Remembrance on Thursday 20 November 2025 to remember and mourn the deaths of trans people in the UK and around the world who have lost their lives due to transphobic violence and prejudice.
We are honoured to be joined by trans creatives Anna Sophie, Ant Lexa and kara, deceased who will be performing original songs and spoken-word pieces that they have created especially for this Trans Day of Remembrance Vigil.
We look forward to having you with us to stand in solidarity and support with the trans community.
As humanists, we cherish empathy and concern for the rights of all human beings. In our Trans Day of Remembrance ceremony we will reflect on how we can do more as a community to support trans people, and will share our outrage at the violence perpetrated everyday. We stand in absolute solidarity with trans people all over the world.
We welcome people of all beliefs to come together for our ceremony.
The Old Diorama Arts Centre is an accessible venue with gender neutral facilities. The vigil is being held on the ground floor in Studio 2.
