Balboa is a dance style in the swing jazz dance family. It is a partnered social dance where you improvise whole dances with your dance partner(s), suitable for mid to fast tempos. In this group we will all be learning how to lead and how to follow.

February LGBTQ+ Balboa Beginner Swing Dance Course
The Pillar Room, The Rotunda Hospital, Dublin 1, IE🏳️🌈 A four-week Balboa dance course for complete beginners, every Wednesday night in February – no prior experience required. In other words, this might be your first dance lesson ever :) This is a special LGBTQ+ course, but everyone is welcome. Bring your friends and allies if they also love to dance!

Comfortable clothes, glamour optional ✨
No partner required
Just bring yourself – we will be changing partners every few minutes, so you get to dance with everybody. However, if you come with someone and you would like to dance just with them and nobody else, that is no problem!
Location
We will be in the Oval, a beautiful side hall of the Pillar Room, situated in the Rotunda Hospital. You will be provided directions once you are registered for the course through our website.
