While the event is free to attend, it doubles as a fundraiser for the Climate Justice Committee, which is a partner in the annual Taking Back Pride. CJC is a purely grassroots volunteer-run group that coordinates actions on local environmental justice struggles, has regular meetings each Tuesday evening and originated as a branch of the Anti-War committee.
