Political Consequences of Congressional Redistricting

The passage of Prop 50, in response to Texas’s redistricting, has resulted in dramatic changes in the political landscape of western Coachella Valley. We’ll examine the new congressional district 48 with regard to geography and political make-up. We’ll also review the candidates for the Democratic Party’s nomination for the congressional district and the presumed candidate for the Republican Party, Rep. Issa. Everyone will have the opportunity to share what issues, experiences and personal attributes you think are most important to win in the mid-term congressional election.
